Intro: RGB LED Mixer

Hello and welcome to my first instructable!
Today I will be showing you how to make a RGB LED color mixer.

STEP 1: Parts Needed

For this instructable you will need:

Seven Pushbutton switches
Wire
Nine Diodes
One Red LED
One Green LED
One Blue LED
One CR2032 Battery holder
One CR2032 Battery
Soldering board
Soldering iron
Solder

STEP 2: The Schematic

The schematic is really simple.

1: For the first three switches you just normally connect the LEDs.

2: On the second row you must use 2 diodes on each swich, just use them like normal wire but be sure to have the outbut of the diode going to the LED

3: The last button will control all three LEDs, repeat step two but add three diodes to all three LEDs instead of two.

Simple but AWSOME!!!

STEP 3: The Result

This project is really handy.
It is perfect for teaching children about which colors can be mixed to create new colors.
It is possible to put a big blob of hot glue on the top to mix the colors but i like it how it is.
Good luck to anyone who is building this!

Hey, this is a great instructable and is very informative. Just one thing is missing... pictures! It really helps a lot when trying to follow directions so you should consider taking some photographs. Once you do that and leave me a message when you have so that we can publish your work. Thanks! Thanks for the cool instructable and we hope to publish this soon!

Hi, this looks good, and it obviously works! But I'm not sure you need so many parts - can you add a schematic diagram to step 2? L

No schematics there... just a 404 code...
