RGB LED Strips

Intro: RGB LED Strips

In this instructable, I wanted to show you my RGB (red, green, blue) LED strips. Each strip has 36 red LEDs, 36 green LEDs, and 36 blue LEDs. Overall the strips are 47 inches long except the one pictured in the far left, it's a little bit shorter. They are being powered from a 12v 1 Amp wall adaptor and there is a resistor for each LED. They are much brighter than they look in the picture.

STEP 1: The LED Strips All Lit Up!

Here are some pictures of the LED strips and the controller I made. With the controller I can light any color in any combination I want. The three longer strips are divided up into four sections and I can light up any combination of colors in any section.

Dear sir, i have purchased a 5 Meter LED strip with adaptor today in online. can u just instruct me how to connect the strip?

the 12V adaptor will work for 5 Meter strip or can i use it the strip by cut in to pieces?

kindly help me in this regard.

This really is not an "instructable" as the instructions on how to do this are missing.
But just one question how did u power all these LEDs??
You can embed the video by pasting the embedding code by just clicking the globe kind of icon on the options menu while editting the ible!
Thanks for the tip with embedding the video. I powered these LEDs from a 12v 1 amp wall adaptor, 1 amp is a bit much but it works very well. I also wanted to add that every LED has it's own resistor and these aren't 12v LEDs

Thanks for the comments!!!!!
These look dazzling! They look very professional as well!Good job!
Have a look at my ibles and comment rate etc on them as well! Thanks in advance!
