Introduction: RICH VELVELTY CHOCOLATE SMOOTHIE- Low Calorie
Every now and then I tend to have one of those days when nothing but chocolate will do. Instead of going to town on some sugar and fat-filled chocolate bar, I have found having a rich dark chocolate smoothie like this for breakfast as a snack or as a dessert to hit the spot and satisfy that chocolate craving.
This chocolate smoothie is healthy filling and most importantly delicious.
Step 1: Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 2 tbs of cocoa powder
- 1 tbs of honey or chopped dates
- A handful of spinach (30g)
- 200ml of Almond milk
Step 2: Instruction
Add all the ingredient together in a blender or magic bullet and whizzz till smooth.
Step 3: Finished Product
Pour into a cup and enjoy. How quick and easy was that??.

I make a very similar smoothie for breakfast a few times a week, except I use chocolate protein powder. Also, to those put off by the spinach, you can't taste it at all. I was skeptical at first, until I tried it.

I used to make it with Chocolate protein powder and it tasted great, I used greek yoghurt to increase the protein content and the thickness. Tastes very similar actually.

With the honey, dates/almonds plus the almond milk, the calorie count would be quite high I think.

The honey is optional and a tbs is 64 calories, almond milk is 30calories a cup, the date again are optional.
