Introduction: Lego NXT 2.0 Robot Zombie

Step 1: Step 1

Hello there, I have made an Lego NXT 2.0 Plants vs zombies cone head zombie:D
this zombie does not need programming, but simple apps such as https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.jfedor.nxtremotecontrol&hl=en
or
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/inxt-remote/id317399938?mt=8
for your android or apple device will do the job:D
Note that this robot is a heavily modified version of the original Alpha REX 2.0, so i will NOT show you how to make the main body of the alpha rex as its already included in your NXT software. All you need to do is build the legs and body, then STOP and come back to this instructable.
But before you begin pls see what this zombie can do!

Step 2: MATERIALS

You will need:
NXT mindstorms 2.0 set
android or ios device
some boxes
paints
paint brushes
Brain
Hands
Computer

Step 3: Build the Legs

Note that most of the instructions r on the NXT software that you should have. So I will just show you pictures of my progress.
Remember to join the legs together.

Step 4: Build the Body

Again most of the instructions r on the NXT software...so I dont have to say much more:D

Step 5: Attach the Arm-Motor

Attach the motor to the little beam on the back of the nxt brick, then use a 9 hole beam to trap it. The use a long black pole and attach big gears to each side and attach a 5 hole beam to the gear, this is where you attach the arm to.

Step 6: Build the Arms

Attach a right angled beam to the 5 ho;e beam, then just attach beams to it to build the arms.

Step 7: Mods

Important mods, most notably the mini black beam, and the arm stopper.

Step 8: Attach the Head

Use 2 long bent beams, attach to the NXT brick, put a pole in the middle joined with a black pole connector. Then use the "H" beam with a black connector to attach to the pole connector, Then build attach the head.

Step 9: Finished!

Well done! your robot is now complete, head over to the next step to decorate!:D

Step 10: Decorate Part 1

Find some old boxes, all shape and sizes but make sure they are able to fit onto your robot!
Also get some paint, tape, paintbrushes and also SCISSORS (not in photo).

Step 11: Decorate Part 2

PAINT! paint the boxes according to your favorite zombie (mine is the cone head)! To make the cone i found an large orange piece of paper, cut it into a circle and then sliced into the center of the circle. Then roll into a cone shape! Also i used scissors to cut out some zombie hands and I also found an extra box for my zombie head:D

Step 12: Completion

This is what your zombie shall now look like. Tape your boxes and cones to the robot. Don't use glue. Be sure to cut holes for the eyes of the NXT ultrasonic sensor. Now you can either make zombie movies or scare your pets or friends!
