Intro: RUBBER BAND POWERED FOAM PLATE AIRPLANE

In this Instructable I will show you how to make a simple rubber band powered airplane using materials and tools found in any average household.

STEP 1: GET THE MATERIALS AND TOOLS

All the materials and tools are listed below on the pictures.

STEP 2: -CUT THE FOAM PLATES-

1st. Get 3 foam plates.
2nd. Cut along the black lines as shown in the second and third pictures below.
3rd. You should end up with the pieces shown in pictures 4 & 5.

STEP 3: -CUTTING THE CARDBOARD-

Look at the pictures, in order from left to right, to see what you need to do in order to finish this step.

STEP 4: -THE PAPER CLIP-

Look at the pictures in order from left to right again...

STEP 5: -BUILDING THE TAIL & BODY-

Once again look at the pictures to complete this step.

STEP 6: -ASSEMBLING THE WINGS-

Look at pics...

STEP 7: -THE PROPELLER-

Again look at pics...

STEP 8: -THE ALL IMPORTANT RUBBER BAND-

This is what makes the plane fly.
Look at pics.

STEP 9: FINISHED!!!

Now all that needs to be done is to go outside and fly that brand new plane of yours!!! (Or stay in the house, just be very careful!)

STEP 10: -TROUBLE-SHOOTING-

Look at pictures for info...

try modifying the tail... add surface area to the tail. you could also add 1 - 2 additional tail(s) similar to the A-10 warthog's tail. or even 3 tails 1 in the middle, 2 on either end of the rear stabalizer.
