Rainbow Cube Puzzle

So this Instructable is going to teach you how to make a colorful cube puzzle that’s perfect for playing with at your desk or a cool 3D puzzle for your child. This instructable will be short and sweet so that you can make this project as soon as possible.

Supplies

27 1in x 1in wooden cubes

Masking tape

Wood glue

Sand paper

Paint in your selected colors

Step 1: Step 1:

You could buy the cubes off of amazon; but I just used a table saw to cut 27 cubes.

Step 2: Step 2:

After that, I just used masking tape to plan out each piece individually. And then made sure that I could solve the puzzle. See image to see what each piece should look like.

Step 3: Step 3

Then I used wood glue to glue the pieces where I needed them to be and let the glue dry. (This isn't a picture of the project, I forgot to take a picture of this step)

Step 4: Step 4:

Then I used a belt sander to remove the excess glue. I was a bit overzealous and the pieces were quite uneven. But if you don’t have a belt sander, just use sandpaper.

Step 5: Step 5:

Now you could leave it from here and not paint it. Or you can paint your desired colors and let dry.
