Introduction: Rainbow Ice Cream
A lovely tasting colourful ice cream perfect for kids parties, Halloween or just a fun dessert.
It's a simple recipe which doesn't require an ice cream machine. Just a few basic ingredients and a little creativity: kids will love to help out with making this dessert.
What you'll need
- 1 can condensed milk (397g / 14oz)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups heavy cream
- Food colouring of your choice
- Extra sprinkles and candy to decorate
Step 1: Whisk the Condensed Milk and Vanilla
This should only take a few seconds to combine. There's no need to overwhisk.
Step 2: Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl whip the cream using an electric beater until stiff peaks form.
Step 3: Fold the Cream Into the Condensed Milk.
Use a spatula to gently fold in the cream.
Step 4: Colour Your Ice Cream
Divide mixture into 4 small bowls. Then add a few drops of colour into each bowl and gently stir in.
Step 5: Make the Ice Cream!
Add colours randomly to a medium freezer proof container and then use a knife to swirl and make patterns.
Step 6: Add Toppings to the Ice Cream
Choose your favourite candy and sprinkles and add to the top of the ice cream.
Step 7: Freeze Ice Cream
Freeze ice cream for 2-3 hours then enjoy.

What are those candies you put on top?

Theyre mini m&ms and also star tops sprinkles. I got them from the supermarket here in Australia.

Hi! Your ice cream looks delicious, but I wanted to verify something before I give it a shot. Do you mean evaporated milk, or sweetened condensed milk? Thanks for a great tutorial :-)
