Introduction: Rainbow Suncatcher
Brighten up any room even when the sun isn't out!
Real rainbows are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet, but these rainbows can be any color you want! Remember to personalize your suncatcher in any way you would like!
Step 1: Gather Materials
- Scissors
- All Purpose Glue
- Craft Fluffs
- Multicolored Construction Paper
- Tracing Paper
- Multicolored Tissue Paper
Step 2: Cut Tissue Paper
Into 1 in x 1 in squares.
For a more traditional looking rainbow, as shown in the picture above, you will need approximately 50 squares cut from red, yellow, green, and blue.
Step 3: Pot of Gold and Blue Cloud
Cut out your pot, gold, and cloud. Stretch one or two craft fluffs to cover the cloud that you cut out. Glue the craft fluffs on the blue cloud. Glue the yellow gold on the top of the pot.
The pot of gold and blue cloud from the picture above were about 4 inches wide and 2 inches tall.
Step 4: Start the Rainbow!
On one piece of tracing paper, squirt the glue into several big arches like a rainbow. Stick the tissue paper squares on the glue. Once your rainbow is complete, wait for the glue to dry and then cut it out. Then glue your pot of gold and blue cloud on either end of the rainbow.
By gluing or taping a 4 inch loop of string to the back of the suncatcher, you can hang it up almost anywhere!
