Introduction: Rainbow in a Drawer (Threads+bobbins Finally Organized)

About: Faitmain-Faitcoeur : Handmade-Heartmade / Done with my hands from the bottom of my heart!

Once upon a time, there was a little girl having fun sorting her mom’s thread spools. But the little girl grew up, and she doesn’t have any more fun with that…

There are boxes for bobbins or spools but I want both to be stored together!

Step 1:

I removed a background drawer of my Ikea Alex column.
I cut two pieces of cushion corner angle, corresponding to my drawer’s length.

Step 2:

I cut 5 pieces in dowel, corresponding to my drawer’s width.
I drill 5 holes in each cushion corner angle to insert the dowel parts.

Step 3:

It’s adjusted on the drawer frame!

No glue needed, neither nails!

Step 4: Hooks

Hooks are made with wire twisted around the dowel.

Step 5: Threads + Bobbins Holders

The holders are made with a thicker wire.
The shape can’t be more simple.

Step 6: Tadam

Et voilà!

After several months of use, it is very convenient to choose a color quickly. Threads and bobbins are safe from dust and immediately available.
