Introduction: Rebuilding a Pulling Tractor Called "Thermal Event" - Part 1 of 6 - I Made It at Tech Shop!

In 2012, I decided to fix an oil leak in my 1958 Copar Panzer garden tractor.  I use this for pulling competitions, where the tractor that moves the "sled" the farthest wins.  I don't do this for money - just for fun.  I'm a Mechanical Engineer by trade, and I entered this profession because of my experience playing with tractors.  At age 14, I was already a seasoned fan, but in about 1982, my cousin gave me my first Copar Panzer garden tractor.  I immediately prepared it for pulling competitions on a 14 year old's budget.  Flash forward to this tractor 30 years later, and I'm still playing with toys!  Each part in this series goes over a different aspect of the rebuild.  To fix the oil leak in the rear end, the entire tractor needed to come apart.   There is an embedded video, but most of the rebuild is a slide show with voice overlay.  You can find these videos at www.youtube.com/panzerclub.   I'm a member of Tech Shop in Allen Park, Michigan.  I use the shop to do various things for my tractors like powder coating parts.  These videos were made before I joined, but it's still relevant to what you can do at the shop!  Visit them at www.techshop.ws !!
