Intro: Record Audio From a Mobile Phone

Need to keep track of important phonecalls? Want to record them for evidence or legal purposes?

This is the phone i have, It came with a headset which allows you to use any headphones you wish.

STEP 1: What You Need...

You'll need:
A mobile phone (Not pictured as i used phone to take pictures)
A Headset with a head phone port
A Sound card with a LINE IN port
Audio Recording software
A Headphone Cross over cable

STEP 2: Connect It Up

Plug the Audio cable into the soundcard, Then the other end into the headset, That end into the phone.

STEP 3: Load Up the Software

Load up your audio recording software. In my case it is Nero Wave Editor.

STEP 4: Record

Select the record function on your software then choose source. And then LINE IN

STEP 5: Make a Call

Again i would show you a call on my phone but i dont have any other camera.

Make a call, When it begins to ring hit record, talk away with the mouth peice, Once phone call is done stop recording

STEP 6: Save and Edit Your Audio

Stop recording, and then save your call as MP3 or which ever file format you wish.
