Introduction: Refrigerator Plants

Have you ever wanted to enjoy your garden while you were cooking or eating? Do you have limited space outside or on the windowsill? Refrigerator plants are simple to make and only take a few household supplies. They are sure to put a smile on any passerby.

Step 1: Materials

Before you begin you need to gather a few materials. You will need 4-6 strong circular magnets, a 4" pot, potting soil, flower seeds, and a hot glue gun. You can alter the size of the pot but remember: the bigger the pot, the stronger the magnets need to be.

Step 2: Plant the Seeds

Fill the pot with potting soil then dig a small hole in the dirt. Plant and cover your seeds. Water them and let drain before continuing to the next step.

Step 3: Glue on the Magnets

Next, you need to glue on the magnets. Turn on your glue gun and pick up a magnet. Place a small dab of glue on one side of the magnet and press it onto the side of the pot. Repeat with the other magnets. You can test to see if you have enough magnets on the pot by sticking the pot on the fridge and seeing if it holds.

Step 4: Decorate and Enjoy

You are now finished. You can cut out some paper decorations and hot glue them onto your black pot. To water your plant, simply pull it off the fridge and set it under the tap. Now, you can enjoy your plants while cooking and eating. Have fun with your refrigerator garden!
