Regrow Your Spring Onions
Intro: Regrow Your Spring Onions
It's very easy to regrow spring onions (green onions) from their basal parts. This simple experiment shows the importance of the length of the basal part cut off for a swift regrowth. It is recommended to start with basal parts having a greenish top.

The multivitamin added to the celery water turned the water a shade of red (likely due to the iron content). Water was exchanged with fresh (no vitamin added) and the celery base washed. Already, regrowth of about 0.5mm (1/32") can be seen in the innermost parts with no regrowth visible in the outer leaves.
Hopefully, these findings are of some help.
