Introduction: Reindeer Bottle Stand
I have seen many of these on the net and decided to make one for my home. It looks nice for Christmas and it can hold a bottle of wine or a bottle filled with lights.
For this project I used:
- 20 mm Plywood (Body - Legs)
- 16 mm Plywood (Antlers)
- Band saw (A scroll saw would be much better)
- Wood glue
- Clear lacquer
- Brush
- Empty transparent bottle
- Lights
Video (Click on the image below) :
Step 1: Legs
Cut the two pieces for the legs out of 20 mm plywood using the template provided. This can be done on the band saw or with a jig saw. A scroll saw of course would be the best choice but unfortunately I do not have one so I had to do it on the band saw.

Step 2: Body
Cut the body out of 20 mm plywood using the template. Again a scroll saw would be the best choice.

Step 3: Antlers
And finally the antlers. For the antlers I used 16 mm plywood. At this point all the hard work has been done. A bit of sanding now and you are going to be ready for assembly.

Step 4: Sanding
Sand all the pieces down. If you have a drum sander would be the best but if you do not have one, like me, do it by hand. For the curves you can use dowels and wrap around some sand paper.
Step 5: Glue
Glue all the pieces as shown on the pictures above to complete the reindeer shape.
Step 6: Finishing
You can either paint or use some clear lacquer to finish the stand.
Step 7: Add Some Lights
Now your stand is actually ready. If you want to use it as a Christmas decoration you can take an empty bottle and fill it with Christmas lights.
Thats it! Enjoy!
Merry Christmas everyone!
