Removing Lint From Your Washing Clothes

Introduction: Removing Lint From Your Washing Clothes

You have a new water saving washing machine but it has a problem, leaving lint on the washed clothes.

Time to add a filter to the recycling water in the machine to remove the lint.

Step 1: Remove the Old Spout

Remove the old spout and take measurements.

Step 2: Design or Download New Spout

Go to www.tinkercad.com or other CAD program and design the new spout and filter system. Or download my existing design for Electrolux machine. 3D print the new design either on your 3D printer or at a 3Dhub near you.

When you fit this new spout make sure you add a seal between the spout and the washing machine as the water will squirt out and flood the floor. The new spout uses the existing screw mounts but also I have added two lugs that will require holes drilled and two screws when fitting.

Step 3: Filter for Spout

Super glue a nylon sock (pool sock will do) between the filter brackets. This will slide onto the spout end and filter the water.

Clean the filter between washes and enjoy the lint free washing. I would add photos of lint on clothes...but I can not find any now to show you.

Try locating its filter http://homeguides.sfgate.com/frontload-washers-lint-trap-89363.html or take photo and I will advise.
