Introduction: Replacing Old Bulb on a Small ANGLE HEAD Flashlight With a LED Diode
Let`s start with the project. My ANGLE HEAD Flashlight was working fine, but I wanted to change the bulb with a diode. I think that diode will last longer than a bulb, and it will not discharge the batteries as fast as the bulb does. I made a couple of pictures, just to record the process, and to set the steps.
Step 1: Step 1:
I used this set of tools, and one diode for bulb replacement.
Step 2: Step 2:
The next step was removing the parts of the bulb, and replacing them with the diode.
First was formatting the shape of the diode for installation into the shell of the bulb, and then insulating the anode.
Step 3: Step 3:
When the diode fitted into the shell of the bulb, the next step was soldering the diode into the shell of the bulb.
Step 4: Step 4:
Step 5: Step 5:
This step was not expected. The switch was not working, because the slider was too bent and it did'nt switch the lamp. I bent it a little bit, and it worked fine.
Step 6: Step 6:
This is the new LED “ANGLE HEAD Flashlight”.
For taking the pictures when I was soldering the diode, I used my camera on a Tripod, with a self picture timer, for those who wonder how the pictures were taken. This was just to add some humor in the post.
