This worked as advertised so thanks guys! I will add however, release the trip reset button while the yellow warning light is blinking, not after it stops, or you’ll have to start over. Again thanks!
I have an engine system service required message on my V50 d5.
It's just had a service and an MOT but can't get rid of it. Have tried several reset tips but the message is still there.
The garage have tried connecting their computer to the reader but it doesn't seem to want to connect to my car.......any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
"engine system service required" is not the same as the regular maintenance reminder.
Maintenance reminder you can just clear and it will turn off. After some time or distance traveled (365 days or 20kkm, whichever comes first) it will pop back on the dash.
However the engine service required is an indication that there's a fault that needs to be fixed. You should use diagnostic interface to read the fault code, fix the fault, and then clear the message with the diagnostic interface.
Yesssss it did it thank you so much
