Introduction: Reverse-draw Crossbow
This is a Reverse-draw crossbow I made out of wood planks, PVC, and copper pipe. The draw weight is about 25-28 lbs.
Length: 26 1/2". Bow width, axle to axle: 21". Crossbow weight: 3lbs, 10 oz .
Materials: 3/4" wood planks, wooden 2x4, 3/4" SCH 40 PVC pipe, copper pipe, and nuts and bolts.
The Body is triple-layered 3/4" wood planks
The trigger mechanism is a classic "wheel" mechanism.
The "Bow's" limbs are 3/4" SCH 40 PVC pipe, flattened. The bow's riser is made of wooden 2x4.
The wheel trigger mechanism is made of flattened and glued-together PVC(wheel) and 3/4" wooden plank(trigger).
The wheel is "mushroom" shaped, and the trigger is L shaped.
The cams are pully wheels, originally for blinds, I believe. The string is 550 paracord.
