Introduction: Robot Arm for Laser Cut
Here, Now I'm going to show you how to make a 4 sservo robot arm. This robot arm uses linkage mechanism, controlling by arduino. This project started in May 2016 robot class. I've made the ai file of parts available for everyone to download for free. You'll need to adapt it to suit the file format of your particular laser cutter.

Step 1: Getting the Parts
To make this robot arm you need some parts:
-arduino
-4 servo motors
-elecrical wires
-lasercut parts
-bolts & nuts
Step 2: Prepare the Base
I'd like to make the base part first, well without a strong base parts, robot cannot be strong.
Print the bottom parts. Combine servo motors with wood.
We have to print a ring which makes robot can spin around.
Step 3: Construct the Front Hand Side
Print the body and robot arm sketch using laser cutter.
Combine servo motor with body parts.
Step 4: Construct the Behind Hand Side
It's almost same with front hand side
Print the body and combine the body and robot arm
Step 5: Combine Front and Behind Hand With Base
It's easy ~ Just follow the picture then you can make it!
Step 6: Gripper
It's little bit complicated parts , so follow the pictures .
Step 7: Box
We need box to fix it ~
we'll combine base parts with it
Step 8: Code
I add the code file
f - front hand
d- behind hand
g- gripper
b- base
1 means first loop and 2 means second loop.

Step 9: Complete !!!!
Wow~ You made it !!
Congratulation~

come on man, you cannot just say nuts and bolts and servos - be specific!

will it work with micro servo????

i think it's not working . . At first i start to make it with micro but torque is not enough if you make little robot then i think it's possible

what servos do you recommend then? could you please upload a video of the arm working? It will be nice and useful for me if you upload jpg or autocad or similar files with the plans. I will try to cut them manually with a lot of patience and using some rasps, files, etc as I think the laser cutting here is far too expensive and I am a student trying to make the final project to finish my studies. Many thanks. Best Regards. Marcelo

Very nice! I like wooden robots - it's such a cool juxtaposition of elements. Good work :)
