Introduction: Rolling Paper Typewriter

Unlike other automatic writing machines that require the paper to be fixed in place, the rolling paper-style writing machine draws its inspiration from typewriters. The key advantage of this rolling paper design lies in its compact size and excellent portability. Measuring only 430mm in length, 70mm in width, and 127mm in height, it is ideal for use in tight spaces or for easy transport.

Step 1: Motor Assembly

Use Base Left and Base Right to insert the copper sleeve, and then combine it with the motor.Assemble the X-axis and Y-axis motors, and avoid applying too much force when tapping the copper block.

Step 2: Spring Assembly

The Floating Bearing Seat needs to be embedded with a copper sleeve.Use the Floating Bearing Seat to connect the spring, pressing it into the back of Base Left and Base Right, and tighten the screws.

Step 3: Frame Assembly

First, install two support brackets on the assembled motor module on the left or right side. Then, cut the silicone tube into multiple pieces and fit them onto the paper pressing shaft. Finally, install the guide rail chain and the X-axis guide rail.

Step 4: Control Motherboard Assembly

Assemble the control module by installing the control module's PCBA on the right side of the machine. Then, attach the steel wire with a tube sleeve to connect it to the top of the X-axis guide rail, and it will be complete.

Step 5: Parameter Adjustment

After assembly is complete, it's time to write the parameters. The mainboard comes with built-in firmware, so the firmware flashing step can be skipped. Connect the power supply and use USB to connect to the computer. We only need to simply modify the firmware parameters in the upper computer. Additionally, there may be errors in the product, requiring minor adjustments to the parameters. The simplest way is to take a piece of paper and draw a line, for example, make the Y-axis move 100 millimeters and then measure the actual length. If it exceeds, reduce the Y-axis pulses slightly; if it falls short, increase them. If the writing requirement is not very high, a 1 millimeter error is acceptable.

Before powering on the machine, we need to install the pen at a height of about 3-5 millimeters from the paper surface, and then set the parameters to 4-6 millimeters, which is the lift height of the pen. The pen should not touch the paper surface, but it must make contact with the paper at the point of writing, even extending slightly beyond the paper to avoid issues with uneven surfaces.

If you want to achieve faster typing speeds, you can look for a supplier to customize development. Generally, suppliers will provide a complete assembly service, including PCB assembly.
