Introduction: Rolo Donut Milkshake
It has actually been amazingly sunny in N. Ireland for the past few days, and I've been able to enjoy a couple of good milkshakes from a shop close to my university. But I had an idea...some might call it revolutionary. What about a donut milkshake? This is my first attempt, and it turned out pretty well - perfect for a day like today :)
Ingredients for 1 shake:
1 donut (flavour of your choice - I used a rolo one)
1-1 1/2 cups of milk
1 tsp of vanilla essence
3 generous scoops of ice cream
chocolate or candy/whipped cream (optional for topping - I didn't have any in the house at the time
any blender, I wash it out with cold water to chill it slightly
Step 1: Prepare the Donut
Place the donut in the freezer for a while to cool it down, and solidfy it if it has been sitting at room temperature and melted slightly. Just slice the donut into around about 1 inch chunks so the blender can do it's job. Add the pieces into the blender.
Step 2: Adding the Other Ingredients
Add the ice cream and along with it the milk and vanilla essence. You can add some sugar to sweeten it, but don't add too much otherwise the milkshake will be gritty. I also added some chocolate, which should be chopped up into small pieces because my blender doesn't seem to deal with it too well.
Step 3: Blend It!
Put the lid on and blend until smooth. In a few seconds you'll have a perfect milkshake.
Step 4: Enjoy Your Milkshake!
Pour into your favourite milkshake glass, and enjoy! Top with whipped cream and chocolate pieces if you have some.

Milkshakes are very versatile! Unfortunately I've had a blender disaster, and mine is out of action for the time being :( Which is bad because the weather is just getting better here!

Sounds good ! After a bad accident my jaws were wired shut for 4months, I created a LOT of milkshakes and smoothies because the only way I could eat was thru a straw, its amazing what kind of foods you can liquify and it still tastes good ! One of my favorites was pizza and cocacola and even today I enjoy a peanutbutter and jelly milkshake. Unfortunately my son suffered a bad accident as well and had HIS jaws wired, one he called puke was cheeseburgers, french fries and chocolate icecream another one he liked a lot was tacobell tacos and drpepper. You can even put a turkey dinner in a blender ! Long Live the Amazing Blender !
