Introduction: Roof Checker Using a DJI Phantom 4 Drone

I just bought a DJI Phantom 4 drone and although I found it phenomenal for aerial photography, I found a great use. Check your house roof for problems. I was flying it around my house last week, and decided to take it over the roof, that's because last year I found a few shingles on the ground. I hadn't had time to schedule a roofer to come out to check for possible problems. But since I had the drone, I was planning on doing a check. I flew the drone to about 100 feet over the house and then slowly descended, and to my surprise I found missing shingles at the peak. This video tells it all. Although the camera on my Phantom 4 is 4K HD, I have it set at 1080P to save on memory, and 1080P is more than enough to get great videos. This video tells it all.
