This instructable will show you how to make a decorative outline of your favorite country or state.

Supplies

Supplies and tools:;

saw
hammer
marker
ruler
nails
wood
paint or stain
map outline
yarn
tape
sandpaper

Step 1:

Figure out what size you would like the wood board to be. (I chose not to stain or paint it but now would be the time to do that if you chose to.)
Find and print the outline of the country or state you want on your board.
Cut a piece of wood to the size and sand the edges to desired smoothness.
Tape the printout to the board.

Step 2:

Hammer in the nails evenly evenly all the way around the entire outline.

Step 3:

Wrap the yarn or string around the nails, crisscrossing across the shape until you’re satisfied with the overall look. If you choose to hang your art on the wall, add hardware or hangers to the back of the board.
