Introduction: Sea Bracelet
After making my themed necklaces, I wanted to make a themed bracelet as well.
I took a look at the colours of lace I had and noticed these three colours, that would make a perfect match for a sea theme. The braid actually gives a bit of a wavy feeling to the bracelet, which makes it match the theme even better!
I hope you like it!
Step 1: Materials
You'll need the following to make a sea bracelet:
- flat nose pliers
- cord crimps
- closure
- jump rings
- laces in the colours light blue, white and some sort of sandy brown
- (optional) a charm with matching theme, like an anchor
- scissors
Step 2: Joining the Laces
Start by cutting your three different coloured laces in half. Align the ends of all six and turn them up. Place one of the cord crimps on top and close it.
Step 3: Starting to Braid
Spread the laces a bit to allow them to be next to each other. When they are, you can start braiding. When braiding, try to keep the two laces of a colour next to each other.
Step 4: Braiding
Like said in last step, try to keep the laces next to each other as good as possible. This will make the bracelet wider and give it more of a wave look.
Step 5: Adding a Closure
When your braid is long enough, add a cord crimp to the end and close it. After that, add the closure to the cord crimp using the jump rings.
Step 6: Done
If you like to, you could also add a pendant to the bracelet now. Otherwise, it's finished!
