Introduction: Secret Shoe Pocket

My dad said he wished he had something to put some cash in if he wanted to go on a bike ride, run, or a hike. He did not want to bring his wallet or have anything extra to carry. He also didn't want to get robbed and wallets are clunky and get in the way. I thought there seems to be enough space in a shoe to hold a piece of paper so I made the shoe pocket.

Step 1: Materials

Supplies:

Tape

Thread

Shoe

Safety Pen

Fabric 7.5 x 3.5 in (I used white embroidery fabric but you can use whatever fabric is laying around)

Tools

Sewing needle

Scissors

Step 2: Folding the Fabric

You will first start by folding the fabric in what I call the hot dog. Do this again and then you will get a smaller hot dog. In the next step, we will sew this part.

Step 3: Sewing

As you can see we are going to sew around those 3 edges to make our pocket. When it is done, I folded it in half and then I sewed around the 2 edges from that half. Now you are done making the pocket! Now we just have to put it in the shoe!

Side Note

It is ok if it looks messy it is a secret pocket nobody will see it.

Step 4: Putting It Inside a Shoe

First, put some tape or safety pin on the side of the pocket as shown above. Place the pocket with the tape or safety pin on the tongue of the shoe. When done put the shoe on and have your money be safe and out of sight.

Side Note

I found whatever color of fabric you use have the same color of socks to wear with them to make it less noticeable.
