Introduction: Senior Photo Tips

These are some photos that I took for senior photos in high school. I added some tips for taking photos and what not to do.

Step 1:

The first tip for taking good photos is knowing your equipment. It may seem like an obvious thing to do, but you may not know all about your equipment. You may need to know how to use the flash or if you want extra lighting. It also might be a good idea to watch videos about your camera etc.

Step 2:

After the most obvious you will want to plan your photo shoot. Planning may not seem like it would affect anything but it definitely will. You are more likely to get better photos if you plan where you want to take the photos, the time, and maybe even the clothes. I normally plan about a week ahead. Without the planning my photos won't turn out as good as I want them.

Step 3:

Next if you want to use a tripod this tip will be helpful. Buying a tripod will most likely be expensive. I suggest you buy the ones with the best reviews, even if they are expensive. If you end up buying a cheaper tripod that may seem like a good deal it will be more of a hassle than it is worth.

Step 4:

When taking photos don't focus on all the details. You want your photos to be unique, and the lighting doesn't have to be the best.

Step 5:

Finally is about shooting group photos. When shooting a group photo you will want to make sure to focus on the person closest to the camera. This is also true for shooting couples where one person is slightly in front of the other person. Many times I have seen photos where the camera is focused on people in the back row. This will make your photos turn out worse and it will be more of a blury photo. That is all I hope that you have great photos.
