Introduction: Sensory Bottle

Making a sensory bottle is just as fun as playing with one. With a few easy steps and a couple of household craft supplies, this calming sensory bottle will have and out of control kid at ease within minutes of playing with it.

Step 1: Supplies

A medium sized funnel
An empty water bottle
Clear Elmer's glue
Room temperature water
Super fine glitter
Regular glitter
Hot glue gun

Step 2: Bottle Prep

To have a full view of everything in the bottle, remove the labels and clean off anything inside or outside of the bottle.

Step 3: Fill the Bottle Up

With the funnel, fill the bottle about 3/4th of the way up with room temperature water.

Step 4: Add the Glue

Remove the funnel and slowly pour the glue into the bottle. Close the lid and shake it until the water and glue are mixed well.

Step 5: Time for Glitter!

Place the funnel back into the bottle and carefully pour in the super fine glitter. You can choose to keep the funnel in to put the regular sized glitter in or take it out like I did and give the glitter bottle a few light shakes.

Step 6: End Result

Drizzle hot glue onto the thread of the bottle cap and tighten the lid onto the bottle. Shake well and watch the glitter dance around!

There you have it! There are so many different and creative ways to make a sensory bottle. This one is very basic but will keep the user engaged with it long enough to calm them down. Sensory bottles are very practical to make and they last a life time if kept and used properly.
