Introduction: Severed Arm Prosciutto and Swiss Sandwich

About: I enjoy crafting, photography, gardening and cooking. I am an avid cooking contester and I have won several national contests.

I remember years ago when our children were young we would have Halloween parties and our children would invite their friends. My husband was very creative making disgusting looking food for the parties, and I would laugh so hard at the creations! Here is a fabulous Halloween sandwich to make for your Halloween party this year! It tastes really good and will impress your guests with the grossness of it! Here is how to easily make it!

Step 1: Ingredients Needed

14 slices of square bread (I used split top wheat)

32 slices of prosciutto

9 slices Swiss cheese

pitted black olives

soft butter or margarine

tomato sauce

dried oregano

dried basil

Step 2: Supplies Needed

plastic wrap

rolling pin

string or yarn

2 cutting boards

butter knife

sharp knife

plastic spiders

Step 3: Cut Plastic Wrap

Cut a large piece of plastic wrap and place it on a cutting board.

Step 4: Cut Off Crusts

Cut the crusts off of the bread making each a square shape.

Step 5: Flatten the Bread

On the plastic wrap, place 9 slices of the bread in a large square with the edges slightly overlapping. Flatten with the rolling pin.

Step 6: Butter and Prosciutto

Butter the bread and arrange 9 slices of prosciutto on top.

Step 7: Add Cheese and Roll!

Place 4 slices of Swiss cheese along the center. With the help of the plastic wrap, roll the bread until it becomes a tight log.

Step 8: Make Tie

About 2 3/4 inches in from one end, tie the string. Flatten the bread roll beyond the string with the rolling pin forming the hand. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

Step 9: Make the Fingers

Roll remaining 5 slices of bread to flatten. Spread on soft butter and top with cheese slices.

Step 10: Finish the Fingers

Place 1 slice of prosciutto over each. Roll them up so that you have five rolls. Roll a piece of prosciutto around each, forming the fingers. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to use.

Step 11: Cut the Olives

Meanwhile, cut 3 olives in half lengthwise. Slice several olives into thin strips.

Step 12: Remove String

After an hour has past, remove the rolled long sandwich from the refrigerator. Cut off the string and remove the plastic wrap.

Step 13: Make Thumb Hole

Make a deep cut where the thumb will go.

Step 14: Add the Fingers

Push the thumb sandwich into the hole. Arrange the remaining 4 fingers along the top of the sandwich, pushing to remove any airspace.

Step 15: Add Finger Nails

Place an olive half on each finger to make finger nails.

Step 16: Cover With Prosciutto

Cover the whole arm with the remaining slices of prosciutto, tucking each piece under the arm.

Step 17: Make Stitches

Create stitches on the the arm with cut olive slices.

Step 18: Make a Gash

Make a cut in the arm by slicing 3/4 of the way through with a sharp knife. Spread open.

Step 19: Make the Blood

Pour tomato sauce in a custard cup. Sprinkle with about 1/4 teaspoon oregano and basil. Stir to mix well.

Step 20: Add the Blood

Drizzle tomato sauce in and around the cut. Arrange spiders around the arm.

Step 21: Add the Knife

Stab the arm with a sharp knife for serving.

Step 22: Ready to Eat!

Sever off a section of the arm or pull off a finger. Dip into the tasty “blood”! Ha, ha, ha!!!!!

Step 23: Enjoy It!!!

I hope you enjoyed seeing how I made this Instructable! I had so much fun making it and it is quite tasty too! My husband was surprised that I would make something that looks this disgusting. Now I will have fun watching my family devour it! Happy Halloween to all!!!
