Introduction: Sewing Placemats for Beginners
Beautifully quilted placemats which you can be created for your tables by following few steps.
Step 1: PLACEMATS SEWING STEP 1
10 pieces of two colors, red and green of similar square shape
Step 2: PLACEMATS SEWING STEP 2
Sew alternative color pieces together one by one, from edges as shown in image.
Step 3: PLACEMATS SEWING STEP 3
When your last step is completed, you will get 10 final pieces which made by 20 pieces.
Step 4: PLACEMATS SEWING STEP 4
Join four pieces in together, repeat this process again and after that stitch 2 Unit of 4 squares
Step 5: PLACEMATS SEWING STEP 5
In last step we have created 2 rows, now join all pieces together in a same way. 5 rows and 4 columns
Step 6: PLACEMATS SEWING STEP 6
Make three layers,
- Place Plain base
- Polyester Batting
- Quilted pieces we have completed in last step
Step 7: PLACEMATS SEWING STEP 7
Do finish seam on quilted seams.
Step 8: PLACEMATS SEWING STEP 8
Now Do Final edge stitching required so I have done Biastape folding around it, and this is our final step after that we are going to place it on our table :)
