Shabby Chic Side Table
Intro: Shabby Chic Side Table
Do you some dark furniture you want to give a make over? Shabby chic is a fun and easy way bringing some brightness and creativity into your house.
What you will need:
Table, or some sort of furniture
Sandpaper, 80 and 120 grit
Home decor collection matt Chalk acrylic paint
Paint brush
STEP 1: Sanding
Start with the 80 grit sandpaper as it is rougher and will get most of the varnish of easily and get sanding, once the varnish is mostly off change to the 120 grit and get the last bit of varnish off and make the table smooth.
STEP 2: Painting
Now it is time for the fun part, painting. Get you chalk paint and prepare it how it says on the bottle. The home decor collection is already premixed which is why I like using this one. To achieve the look I wanted I did three coats. Wait half an hour between each coat to allow to dry properly
STEP 3: Shabby Chic
To get the shabby chic look grab the 120 grit sand paper and sand the corners and edges to add a distress look to the piece

And we’re here to help you out.
Due to some recent changes on the site, we are no longer able to publish stand-alone videos and other forms of incomplete posts. In order to be published live on the site, Instructables must consist of the following things:
- Multiple steps showing how you made your project
- Written instructions in each step
- Your own original images
Beyond making your Instructable simply publishable, this guide (https://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Create-a-Feature-Worthy-Instructable/) explains what is required to have your Instructables featured by our site editors. It’s very helpful, and definitely worth checking out.
We would love to review your project again after you have made the necessary edits, and we will publish your project if it is eligible.
