Introduction: Shamrock Frappuccino Recipe
Why not have a themed frappuccino for St. Patrick's Day. This recipe is a nice mix of peppermint, vanilla, and matcha green tea powder. It makes for a pretty tasty drink that is even green. StarbucksSecretMenu came up with this frappuccino and I've simply made it so you can craft it at home with your own ingredients.
Step 1: Supplies
This recipe is a single serving and makes about the equivalent of a 16oz Grande from Starbucks.
Ingredients:
- 2c Ice
- 3/4c Milk / or / Half & Half
- 2 tbsp Vanilla Syrup
- 2 tbsp Peppermint Syrup
- 2 tbsp Simple Syrup (or sugar, but simple syrup blends in better)
- 1.5 - 2 tbsp Matcha Green Tea Powder
- Pinch of Xantham Gum (optional)
Topping Suggestions:
- Whipped Topping
- Green Tea Powder
Coffee Version:
Replace milk with Strong Coffee, but I don't know how coffee will taste with green tea.
Utensils:
- Blender
- Ice cube trays - small ice cubes make for even easier blending
- Measuring cups and spoons
- Cup for serving
- Straws
Step 2: Blend and Top
Blend everything together until smooth.
Top with whatever feels right. I stuck with whipped topping and some more matcha green tea powder.
