Introduction: Shepherds Pie

About: Author at www.theviewfrom8600ft.com. I just stumbled upon instructables and I love it!

Unbelievably easy and Yummy.  That’s how I will describe this one.  I get requests to make this about once a week, and whenever I go out of town, I make sure to leave a fully prepared pie that all you have to do it throw it in the oven and dinner is served!  This one freezes so well, it’s a great dish to have around for an after baby meal, church basement dish… the list goes on.  Here is how I put mine together:
Ingredients: (Serves 4-5)
1 Pound Lean Ground Beef
1/2 Packet Brown Gravy Mix
3/4 Cup Water
1 Bag Frozen Veggies
4 Cups Prepared Homestyle Mashed Potatoes
Ok, don’t blink or you will miss the entire recipe!
First, Preheat your oven to 350 Degrees.  Then, Brown the beef in a saute pan until no longer pink.

Add in the 1/2 Brown Gravy Mix and 3/4 Cup of water.  Simmer for a few minutes until the water has evaporated.   Put the beef on the bottom of an 8X8 Greased baking dish.

Microwave your veggies and pour them on top.

Dollop your Homestyle Mashed Potatoes on top and cover with foil.

Bake for 30 Minutes,  then remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes, just until the top gets a little browned.  Enjoy!
