Intro: Shooter
Hello! This instructable will teach you how to make a quick and easy shooter! Follow the steps and you will have your shooter in no time! If you have any questions or anything, write a comment!
STEP 1: Materials | អ្វីដែលយើងត្រូវការ
What you’re going to need:
- Bamboo, at least two poles
- Elastic bands, but can be replaced by rubber bands
- A pair of scissors, if you’re using elastic bands
- Tape, if you’re using rubber bands
- Saw, or anything that can cut wood
- A glue gun, or anything that can glue
- An axe (optional)

STEP 2: Getting Your Bamboo Ready | រៀបចំឫស្សីរបស់អ្នក
At least one of your bamboo poles should measure between 26 to 30 cm in length. It shouldn’t be shorter or longer. This is because If it is longer than 30 cm, cut it. If it is shorter than 26, find another pole.

Step 1.5 (Optional): Sand your bamboo
You can sand your bamboo to make it look nice and clean it if you want. We prefer to do it because it makes our product feels smooth.

STEP 3: Split Your Bamboo Into Half | កាត់ឫស្សីជាពីរ
Take your bamboo, make it stand upright and using an axe, split it into two all the way from top to bottom. You’re only going to use a half to make one shooter. And the other half? You can use it to make another one! In the picture, we’re using a pair of metal scissors and a hammer to split it in half because we don’t have an axe. You can do the same if you don’t have an axe.

STEP 4: Starting on the Shooter | ចាប់ថ្តើមធ្វើការជាមួយឫស្សី
Take your glue gun and a clothespin. Measure and mark 6 cm from either end of the cut bamboo pole. Once you’ve done that, take your clothespin and glue it on the mark.

STEP 5: Finishing the Shooter | ចុងបញ្ចប់
If you have an elastic roll like the one in the picture, you can measure and cut a band to a length where it can stretch and reach the mouth of the clothespin. Now connect the elastic band by gluing it together. Then glue the band to the opposite end of the clothespin. Don’t glue over the part where the band is already connected by glue because it will easily break apart when you use the shooter. The band is going to act like a rubber band. If you have a rubber band, don’t use glue as it will burn the rubber band. Instead, use tape. Now your shooter is finished.

STEP 6: Make Your Ammunition | បង្កើតគ្រាប់បាញ់
Take your other bamboo pole and cut it like we’re doing in the picture. You can make as many as you want. Preferably, your bamboo should be dense and not hollow as it will be easier to shoot. You can use other things as your ammunition as well. One other alternative is bottle caps! After that, you’re done! Congratulations, you’ve made yourself a shooter! Here’s how it works: You pull the band and put it into the mouth of the clothespin, like hooking it. Then put one of your bamboo ammunition in between the band in front of the clothespin and once you’re ready to fire, release by pressing on and opening the clothespin’s mouth. There you go!
