Shrunken Apple Heads

With some apples, ingenuity, and a few other ingredients, you can create a cool shrunken head for your Halloween decorations.

Step 1: Materials

You will need:
Apple
Knife or Peeler
Lemon Juice
Salt

Step 2: Carving the Head

Use your knife to carve a face into your apple. Make it as shrunken headish as possible.

Step 3: Coating the Head

Mix the lemon juice and the salt (just eyeball it) and stir until it is all dissolved. Put the head into the mixture and let it soak for about 24 hours.

Step 4: Baking the Head

Put the head into the oven until it starts to shrivell a little. Then take it out and let it dry for a couple days.

Step 5: After 4 Days...

I let mine sit for four days. That is about the minimum.

Step 6: Hair and Teeth

You don't have to, but I added hair and teeth (toothpicks and stuffing).
