Introduction: Shutdown a Computor Remotley (the Real Way)

This is instructable will show you how to shutdown a computer (from your own) remotely. there is no need to send a file sneak on their computer or have any contact with them. This requires little or no DOS skills although it will help if you are 1337

Step 1: Find Their Computor Name

first type "net view"
next find you target in the list (by the way the target needs to be on your network)
congratz you've found your target.

by the way its also easier if u can sneak a peek at their computer for a minute. if you can click start right click my computer click properties then go to computer name. but thats only if theres alot of computers like in an office or a school.

Step 2: Shutdown -i

go to run and type cmd. this will bring up command promt or DOS. type shutdown -i and a dialog should come up

Step 3: Type

type the computer name. then change warning time to 2 seconds and type a message if you want.

Step 4: Done

Click ok and your done. the most pleasing part is when you do it in an office or school computor lab and you hear "What the F***" ahhhhhh memories

Above steps for shutting down remote computers are too complicated and technical. Instead, I would recommend using tools like on premise R-HUB remote support servers for easy shutdown and reboot of remote computers. It provides a simple and easy user interface.

    Sure...
In my cmd the "net view" command does not show any computer except mine.I find the connected device using 'wireless network watcher' available in 'nirsoft.net'
But when I try to execute shutdown -i command a pop up window appear
I fill all the details and click ok but then it show an error msg showing that access denied.

if you want to do this in a shortcut or something, do shutdown /I enternamehere

if u want to add a comment do -c "entercommenthere" at the end. be sure to use proper punctuation, and parenthases.

If you are getting access denied do this from your own personal computer. Do not use school computers as they are usually blocked.

I did this from my own laptop I brought to school and it worked great!
