Introduction: Simple Caramel Apples
Caramel apples are one of my favorite dessert. One of my mom's friend made these super easy caramel apples with me and the result was fantastic. They are super simple to make, customizable, and take very little time. I hope everyone enjoys these apples as much as I do!
Step 1: Ingredients
You will need:
3-4 Apples
2 14 ounce packages of wrapped caramels
Toppings (chocolate chips, chocolate, sprinkles, marshmallows, etc.)
Wooden skewers
Step 2: Make the Caramel Topping
Unwrap all of the caramels and put them in a microwave safe container and microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Make sure to keep an eye on the caramels so that they don't burn. Caramels burn really easily and the time will vary depending on your microwave.
Step 3: Dip the Apple
Take your caramels out of the microwave and use a spoon to stir them so there are no chunks of caramel. Next, take a skewered apple and twist it around inside a container full of melted caramel. Place the caramel on silicone baking sheet.
Step 4: Toppings
The last step is to add toppings! Any topping that is not melted chocolate should be applied while the caramel is drying. If you would like to coat the apple in chocolate, wait for the caramel to dry and drizzle the chocolate over the caramel apple. Wait for the caramel or any other toppings to dry before eating. Enjoy!

Thanks! I hope you like them. The only thing I should warn you about is that the caramel can get kind of hard.
