Introduction: Simple Christmas Cookies
Ready in almost 30 minutes, these delicious cookies will enjoy children and parents !
To consume to your heart's content ;)
Step 1: Ingredients
(for around 40)
- cinnamon (2 to 4 teaspoons, according to your taste)
- almond powder (200g = 7 oz)
- 2 egg-whites
- sugar (100g = 3.5 oz)
- a little bit of flour
Step 2:
Beat the eggwhites until stiff and add the sugar.
Step 3:
Reserve three heaping spoons for the glazing.
Step 4:
Add almond powder and cinnamon to the rest of the mixture of eggwhites and sugar.
Step 5:
Knead the new mixture in order to get a sticky but thick dough.
Step 6:
On a coated with flour counter, roll the pastry out with your fingers to 0.5-centimeter thick.
Step 7:
Cut the pastry up with the pastrycutter (if possible, with a star-shaped one).
Step 8:
Lay down the stars on a baking tray covered with baking paper.
Step 9:
Spread the reserved mixture of eggwhites and sugar on every star with a brush or with your fingers.
Step 10:
Bake around 10 minutes at 302 F.
Step 11:
Let the cookies cool before savouring!

Oh, oops, I think I meant teaspoons :/
But personally, I really like cinnamon and I often use tablespoons ;)

Those are adorable Christmas cookies! I've never heard of almond powder before (I don't cook much), is it easy to find?

I think Emma is referring to Almond Meal..its just almond's ground to a fine powder
