Introduction: Simple DIY Air Purifier

An air purifier is a device which removes contaminants from the air in a room. These devices are commonly marketed as being beneficial to allergy sufferers and asthmatics.

This project uses UV lamps and ion generator to purify the home or other spaces.

Notes:

1- An air ioniser (or negative ion generator) is a device that uses high voltage to ionise (electrically charge) air molecules. Negative ions, or anions, are particles with one or more extra electrons, conferring a negative charge to the particle.

2- Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation is a disinfection method that uses ultraviolet light to kill or inactivate microorganisms.

Step 1: How It Works

The "dirty" air passes through the rear side, it is sterilized-ionized and out the front side. A small fan (removed from an old microwave oven) pushes air into the unit.

Step 2: Making the Box

Do you need:

1- Board 40cmm x 16cm x 0,5cm

2- Board 39cm x 22cm x 0,5cm. Note: The hole in accordance with the fan.

3- Board 40cm x 7cm x 0,5cm

4- Board 40cm x 16cm x 0,5cm
