Introduction: Simple Fire Effect Using Photoshop 2.0

This instructable shows you how to make a simple flame using
photoshop 2.0 or later. This is also my first instructable and
I am also new.

Step 1: Starting Up

First off you need to start a new picture.(File->New)

Create a picture that is 200 in width and 200 in height.

Set resolution to 72 pixels/inch.

Set mode to RGB color mode.

And lastly, go down to the contents and select white then click OK.

GO ON TO STEP 2 --->

Step 2: Creating the Base

Start off with an orange color and select the pencil tool.

Create a base of the flame that looks like the one in the picture.

GO ON TO STEP 3 --->

Step 3: Creating the Top Base

Start off with a yellow color still using the pencil tool.

Draw a cone like the one you see in the picture.

GO ON TO STEP 4 -->

Step 4: Creating the Realistic Effect

Start off be selecting the blur tool(Looks like a tear drop)

Blur the entire flame.

GO ON TO STEP 5 -->

Step 5: Creating the Realistic Effect (Part 2)

Start off by selecting the smudge tool.

Create the dance effect by starting at the bottom of the flame
and work you way by dragging the mouse up.

Drag the mouse up in different directions to create the dance effect.

Step 6: Creating the Smoke Effect (Optional)

Start off by selecting the pencil tool and changing the foreground
color to black.

create a spiral as shown in the picture.

GO ON TO STEP 7 -->

Step 7: Creating the Smoke Effect (Part 2)

Start off by selecting the blur tool and do the same like
how you did in Step 6.

AND YOU ARE DONE!!!
