Introduction: Simple Laptop Stand
Needed a cheap and effective laptop stand that would work for both of my laptops. Used as little material and tools as possible.
Step 1: Materials and Tools
Materials:
- 100x45x45 mm piece of wood
- 2x rubber feet
- 2x steel wood screw
Tools:
- saw
- clamps
- wood glue
- screwdriver
- sandpaper
Step 2: Cut Wood
Measure and cut to desired size. I cut the piece of wood diagonally to get two triangle shapes; you can see the marked lines in the picture.
Step 3: Glue Together and Sand
Glue the side legs together. Make sure to let it dry properly before sanding it down.
Step 4: Screw in Rubber Feet
Rubber feet are put on the top to provide more friction and keep the laptop in place.
Step 5: Finished
As a footnote, there is enough room to install a fan if you should desire more cooling for your laptop.

Suggestion: Drill some holes in the side of it or cut out slots to allow the laptop air to exit. Keeping your laptop cool will help make it last longer.

It is awesome! I have been using a 2x2 (inch) under the back of my laptop, but it is unstable. Thanks for the perfect solution!

Deceptably simple. Its simple to make but...its just awesome. Especially when everything else for this purpose winds up being so complex. Its an excellent and elegant solution. Thank you for this.

I love that this was made with basic tools and not power tools so pretty much anyone could make it! Thanks for sharing!! :)
