Introduction: Simple Leather Cardholder
Hi, leathercraft folks! This is Hahn.
I made a super simple and easy minimalist cardholder
[Material & Thickness]
Leather : Buttero / Dakota Vegetable Tanned Leather (Italy) Thickness : 1.8t / 1.5t ( 5oz/ 4oz)
Step 1: Making a Leather Pattern
I used thick paper for the leather pattern.
Print as actual size then, paste to thicker paper.
Step 2: Cutting the Leather and Edge Creasing
Cut the leather follow the pattern, then crease and bevel the edge line
Step 3: Dying Edges
I used edge finisher and sponge
Step 4: Applying Leather Gum
I used Tokonole(Leather gum) and used wood slicker for burnishing edge
Step 5: Paste Card Slot
Mark with an awl on the base leather panel.
then glue and paste the card slot panel.
Step 6: Assemble Whole Parts
Before assembling, dye the back side of the leather.
Step 7: Cutting , Stitching and Burnishing
Cut the base panel then stitching .
+ beveling, dying, burnishing process again.
and It's done already.
Thanks for watching! :)
