Simplified Duct Tape Flower

Intro: Simplified Duct Tape Flower

Extra easy duct tape flower. Make one in less than 10 minutes!

STEP 1: Step 1: Preperation

You will need a few simple items before you can start...

#1. Any Color Duct Tape

#2 Pliers

#3 Some Floral Wire (or any wire but floral wire works best)

#4 Scissors

And now you're ready to start!

STEP 2: Step 2:The First Petal Part 1

To start your flower, first you must use the pliers (or scissors) to cut the wire in half.

Next use the scissors (or you're hand) to cut the duct tape into a 2X2 inch square.

STEP 3: Step 3: the First Petal Part 2

Next you will fold the square of duct tape over like in the picture below.

Then you will fold it over again so it is like a little triangle on top.

STEP 4: Step 4: the First Petal Part 3

Now the first petal can be hooked on.

First get the wire and stick it onto the duct tape like so.

Then flip the edge over so it won't come loose.

Now you just twist it around and around and stick it on so it looks like a a tube with a hole.

WARNING! If you don't look at the last picture you may have it wrong!!!

STEP 5: Step 5: Again and Again...

Now that you have the first petal on it's going to get a lot easier...

All you have to do now is do the steps over and over...sorta.

You just make more petals and stick them on.

STEP 6: Step 6: Your Almost Done!

The last step!

Ahhhhhhhhh. Your finally there!

Now you have the finished product!

PS. This is mine 10 petals later...

PSS. Also, the flowers on the intro page are my best ones. The black and white one has over 30 petals!

STEP 7: Bet You Can't Beat This!

Beat That!

It has over 60 pedals!

these are cool, my brother was telling me that every prisoner in the state pens would make these to send to their moms on mother's day. I do remember him sending one home. I'm working on a few projects that my brother is helping me out with using the creative skills he picked up while incarcerated. It will be themed as "art behind bars" sort of thing. Any way I really like the ones you made alot.
