Simpsons Bookmarks + Simple Way to Plasticize

Hi! I'm sure that you know the most famous yellow family ever. I present you a easy way to get these cute bookmarks of your favourite character. And besides, I explain you a cheap and simple way to plasticize it. One more time I have to apologize if I make any writing mistake.

Supplies

• White cardboards
• Acrylic paint and watercolor
• Pencil, eraser, black marker, scissors, washi tape
• Self adhesive book covering film

• Cartulina blanca
• Pintura acrílica y acuarelas
• Lápiz, goma, rotulador negro, tijeras, washi tape
• Plástico auto-adhesivo para forrar libros

Step 1: Outline

At first, I cut 5 rectangles in the white cardboard, they measure 22x6 cm each one. I chose the pictures, adjust it to the bookmarks and trace it, I do this way, directly above the computer.

Primero, corté los 5 rectángulos en la cartulina, miden 22x6 cm cada uno. Elige las imágenes, ajústalas a tus marcapáginas y cálcalas, yo lo hice directamente encima del ordenador.

Step 2: Paint It

Easy, not? Tip: It's faster if you paint by colors, in other words, when you use yellow, paint all yellow parts of the bookmarks at the same time. I used the acrylic paint.

Fácil, ¿no? Consejo: Es más rápido si pintas por colores, es decir, cuando utilices el amarillo, pinta todas las partes amarillas de cada marcapáginas al mismo tiempo. Usé la pintura acrílica.

Step 3: Go Over

Go over the pencil lines with the black marker.

Repasar las líneas de lápiz con el rotulador negro.

Step 4: Backgrounds

I painted the backgrounds with watercolors. I used the whasi tape for the clouds and some edges.

Pinté los fondos con acuarelas. Usé el whasi tape para las nubes y para algunos bordes.

Step 5: Final Details

I cut the corners of my bookmarks and added final details like text or some lines.

Corté las esquinas de mis marcapáginas y añadí los detalles como el texto y algunas líneas.

Step 6: Plasticize It

I think I have the best trick to plasticize without the machine, I used this self adhesive book covering film. In the first place, you have to measure the surface and cut two pieces, after that remove the paper of one of them and place the bookmarks face down. Leave a space between them. Then remove the paper of the second self adhesive film and stick it above, you have to stick the side with glue infront the other side with glue. Smash to remove air pockets. Finally, cut the edges.

Creo que tengo el mejor truco para plastificar sin máquina, usé este forro auto-adhesivo de libros. En primer lugar, tienes que medir la superficie y cortar dos trozos iguales, después de esto, quita el papel de uno de ellos y coloca los marcapáginas boca abajo. Deja espacio entre ellos. Entonces, quita el papel del segundo trozo y pégalo encima, tienen que estar las dos partes del pegamento tocándose. Aplástalo para que no queden burbujas de aire.

Step 7: Done!
