Introduction: Skull Chair

We were faced with the task of creating a spooky/Halloween-themed decoration for our Creative Design and Engineering class. We decided to challenge ourselves and make a chair. We had never made a chair before, so we decided to look up how to make one. We found a website and decided to follow it, while giving it our own twist.

Supplies

Step 1: Template

We started this project by printing out this template. We were trying to find the best way to get the template on the wood, and our teacher gave us the idea to scale the template to the proper size on adobe illustrator and then print it out using the large printer we have at school. After printing, we put the template pieces over each piece of wood. Make sure to measure the wood before you go on adobe to make sure your template fits exactly over your wood.

Step 2: Cutting

Next, we began cutting the pieces of wood with a jigsaw and table saw. It is recommended that you sand all the edges in order to keep all the pieces nice and tidy. This step takes up a lot of time, but it is necessary that you take your time when completing this step. The accuracy of the cuts greatly shows the craftsmanship. Printing out the template helped us have accurate cuts.

Step 3: Assembly

We used the website that we found to help us assemble the chair.
