Intro: Slide Action Self-Contained Pistol

Now, before we get started here, this is a prototype/proof of concept. I also have no intentions of posting a video or more pictures.

So in brief, this is a pistol which has the "ram" contained within and is still slide action, I was also going to post this with a magazine which had a self contained loader as well, but it only held 4 rounds, so I deemed it unfit.

So, here is a list of it's qualities:

-Slide Action

-Self Contained

-Magazine in handle

-Magazine release in handle

-Only shoots 20ft

-Jams often

I have since disassembled this to work on future projects, hopefully I gave enough pictures to reverse engineer this if you so wish.

Well, I think I can see where you went wrong. In the first place, the slide was too high, there must have been too much space between the receiver and the slide. In the second place, the trigger was so close to the front of the gun that it would only give you 20 ft. max (as you have noted). Overall, this comment has been done in the worst way possible, and I apologize for that. =D

You're right about the space. And the trigger is indeed close. I tried moving it back though, and I found it extraordinarily difficult to get only one round to load/more not to spill out.

Originally the slide was lower for looks, but I found that without that top piece for the ram to guide it, it never shot.

I'm probably going to revisit this sometime soon and see what I can do with it.

Which itself looks similar to my TDSS... And then that was based off of another person's slide that pretty much started every pistol that looks like this.

This is pretty sweet I recently made a knex sig sauer p229 and I found it challenging to build it with it sturdy good looks and performs flawless. Squeezing a slide in with that sounds pretty rough and it still work well good job

Just be cautious when trying to design something that extracts a round. I had a lot of difficulty with that.
