Introduction: S'more Pops Made With GoldenGrahams
Who doesn’t like smores .I know I do!!!!! I wanted to make a smaller portioned and convenient treat. So I decided to figure out a recipe to make smore pops. Now kids of all ages (the bigger ones too) can enjoy them like me and my family do. Especially during the camping season.
You will need:
Golden grahams-8 ounces
Mini marshmallows-16 ounces
Butter- 1 stick
Chocolate or chocolate melts
Pop sticks
Step 1:
Step 1 Crush the cereal in a food processor or put them in a baggie and crush with a rolling pin .i have done it both ways. I prefer the food processor but just don’t crush it too much.
Melt the marshmallows and butter in the microwave for about 1 min. Stir well .Then mix into the cereal well.(it will be very sticky ,but that’s half the fun)let set for about 15 min. scoop into balls using your cookie scoop.(if you want you can grease it with butter)
Step 2:
Step 2 Then roll them in the palm of your hands to form a ball. Meanwhile take out your chocolate/ chocolate melts and microwave on half power in 30 second intervals stirring often until melted and creamy. Tip 1 do NOT let water come into contact with the chocolate(make sure the bowl is dry before you put the chocolate in) tip 2 to make it a little creamier chocolate so it dips better, put a little bit of Crisco in while you are melting the chocolate.
***if you have the Wilton Chocolate Melting Pro¸ this process will be much easier and more fun.
You will need a styrofoam block or a board with holes in it to stick your smore pops in while you are dipping all of the pops andto display them.
Step 3: Almost Time to Enjoy the Smores Goodness.
Dip your pop stick into the melted chocolate and gently push it into the smore balls.let the chocolate set. (put in fridge for about 10-20 min.If you don’t have a Wilton chocolate melting pro you can keep your chocolate warm by putting it on a coffee/hot chocolate cup warmer. Then take your chilled smore pops out and dip them into the chocolate .Be careful not to swirl it around or you might drop it into the chocolate . I usually dip half of it then dip the other half and gently tap off the excess chocolate back into the bowl. Put small pieces of Golden Grahams on now if desired.(sprinkles or tiny marshmallows would be good to.)
