Introduction: Snowy Mountains Painting

This instructable will teach you how to paint a mountain landscape on a stormy, snowy day.

Step 1: Materials

You will need one small, one medium and one large paint brush. Also get a jar of water, a pencil, A3 paper or cardboard, and black, white and blue acrylic paint.

Step 2: Draw the Outline

Draw lightly in pencil the shape of the mountains and clouds.

Step 3: Mixing the Paint

Mix the black and white paint together to make grey. You will use this to paint the sky.

Step 4: Paint the Sky

Use the grey paint to colour in around the mountains and paint the sky grey. Leave it to dry.

Step 5: Painting the Mountains

Next mix dark blue with black to make teal blue. Use this to paint the mountains. Paint over the pencil lines of the mountains in black. Do another coat of grey for the sky then leave it to dry.

Step 6: Adding Detail

Then make light, dark and creamy shades of grey. Dip your finger in then smudge it around in the shape of a cloud. Do that with all the different greys on the sky. Then get the white paint and the smallest paint brush then make little white dots with the white paint all around the clouds, then you will have snow drops.

Step 7: The End

Well done you have completed the snowy mountains!
