Introduction: Snowy Pumpkin Bread
This is an instructable for making my family's favorite pumpkin bread recipe and giving it a festive, snowy touch.
These definitely put me in the holiday sprit!
Step 1: Ingredients
Here's the list of ingredients that you'll need:
dry ingredients:
4 cups flour
3 cups sugar
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp ground cloves
wet ingredients:
1 cup vegetable oil
1 15 oz can of pumpkin
2/3 cups water
4 eggs
baking pan
non stick spray
powdered sugar
sieve
Step 2: Prepare Pumpkin Bread Batter
Mix all of the dry ingredients well with a fork. Add the vegetable oil, pumpkin, and water and mix with a wooden spoon.
Add four eggs, one at a time. Mix well after adding each egg.
Step 3: Fill & Bake
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray the pan you're going to use with non-stick spray.
Fill the bundt pan with the pumpkin bread batter. Bake for about 1 hour or until a tooth pick inserted into the bread comes out clean. Let it cool.
Step 4: Slice
After the pumpkin bread has cooled, slice off the tops of each. The tops have a nice crust - my family usually fights over who can get this piece!
Step 5: Arrange
Arrange the pumpkin breads on a platter while they finish cooling.
Step 6: Snowfall!
Place one of the pumpkin breads onto a plate. Put some spoonfulls of powdered sugar into a sieve and slowly shake it over the pumpkin bread. Watch as it snows!
I love how the powdered sugar emphasizes the details of these particular bundt pan forms.
