Different Ways To Hit a Soccer Ball

Curl/Curve Dip/Top Spin Knuckle Ball Reverse Curl Strait Power Low/Driven This is an article on different ways to shoot a free kick

Step 1: Curve

Curl/Curve

Step 1: You should take 2 or 3 steps back depending on how far you are from the goal. if you are close to the net take 1 step back and if you are far from the net you should stand 2/3 steps back. this way you can get more power on your shot because curving shots tend to have less power when they get to the net. This is because when you curve the ball it has a longer distance to travel. Step 2: You wanna hit the ball with the inside of your foot; that way the ball will curve to the left if you are right footed and it will curve to the right if you are left-footed. Step 3: Make sure your foot follows through on the swing.

Step 2: Dip/Top Spin

Step 1: You should stand 3 to 3.5 steps back from the ball.

Step 2: To get Topspin on the ball you need to hit the top half of the ball while following through with foot, you can basically hit the ball with the inside or top of your foot. Step 3:You wanna lift your foot up the ball when you shoot so your foot going up creates lift and hitting the top of the ball will make topspin to make the ball dip.

Step 3: Knuckle Ball:

Step 1: This is an interesting shot where you put no spin on the ball and it kinda moves at random mid-flight.

Step 2: There is no specific way to run up to these but you wanna hit it with the top of your foot and every soccer ball has a valve and rumors in the soccer community say if you the valve with the top of your foot you have a good chance of getting a knuckleball. Step 3: You wanna hit the ball with a lot of power and lean over the ball a little bit

Step 4: Reverse Curve:

Step 1: You should take 2 or 3 steps back depending on how far you are from the goal. if you are close to the net take 1 step back and if you are far from the net you should stand 2/3 steps back.

Step 2: If you are right-footed stand on the right side of the ball and if you are a life footed stand on the left side of the ball. This is the same shot and the normal curve shot but your gonna use the outside of your foot instead of the inside

Step 3: You wanna hit this shot with a lot of power because using the outside of your foot make it harder to create power on the shoot.
