This Instructable will show you how to make a lightweight chain from soda can tab!

Step 1: Popping the Tab Off

First you need a soda can. Then you need to pop the soda tab off by bending it back and forth.

Step 2: Making the First Link

Take 5 tabs and stack them together with the good sides out.

Step 3: Starting a New Link

Take another tab and cut it on the thin side close to the edge. Now bend it at a 45 degree angle.

Step 4: Making the First Piece of a New Link

Now just take the tab that you cut and slide it into the thicker piece. Now bend it back into place so it is even.

Step 5: Making a Full Link

Repeat steps 3 and 4, 5 until you have five layers on the link. Make sure the good side is on the outside. Repeat this process until you have a chain of desired length.

Step 6: Your Soda Tab Chain

Taadaa! Now you have a strong but lightweight soda tab chain. Enjoy!
